In the 2013-2014 season, the Women's Varsity Volleyball had one of their most successful seasons as they placed 2nd in the OCAA East Division and went on to win Bronze at the OCAA Women's Volleyball Championship (the first medal in program history). In addition, four athletes were awarded OCAA Honours: Jamie Fryer (East Division Rookie of the Year, East Division Second Team All-Star andEast All-Rookie Team), Samantha Belsey and Erin Clancy (both were named East Division Second Team All-Stars), and Rebecca Van Staalduinen (East Division First Team All-Star).

The Trent Excalibur Women’s Varsity Volleyball team continued to have a very strong history of success in the OCAA before joining the OUA. The 2015 - 2016 season marked the last regular season in the OCAA. The Trent Excalibur had a record of 16-4, which was good enough to finish 3rd in the OCAA East Conference. This set up a Crossover match with the St. Clair Saints to qualify for the Provincial Tournament. Trent beat St. Clair 3-0 at home to qualify. At the provincial tournament hosted by Canadore College, the Excalibur lost a very close quarter-final match the Niagara College, losing 3-1 (25-17, 22-25, 15-25, 22-25). They went on to beat Cambrian College in order to play in the 5th place game where they lost to the host school, Canadore College 3-1 (24-26, 23-25, 25-13, 20-25). For the first time in the history of the program the Trent Excalibur had a CCAA All-Canadian, Sarah MacLaren.

The 2016–2017 marked the first regular season played in the OUA. The Trent Excalibur had a record of 4–15. The first win of their OUA career came against RMC on Sunday October 30th, the first weekend of competition. Their other wins came against Brock University, Windsor University, and two against RMC. With their first season in the books they are looking to build off of their recent success, having competed in many close matches against top teams in the conference.

The 2017-2018 Seasons marks the Trent Excalibur Women’s Varsity Volleyball teams second season in the OUA. The team competes in the very competitive OUA East Division. The Trent Excalibur Women’s Volleyball Team has shown increased success in each season and the team is looking forward to the challenge of continuing to improve in the OUA. 

Trent University provides varsity volleyball players with daily training access to indoor and outdoor volleyball training facilities. Throughout the year, team members have full access to all the training facilities and equipment within the on-campus Athletics Complex, including weight rooms, cardio rooms, and indoor gym space for varsity training. In the off-season, varsity athletes are able to keep in top shape through the use of our expanded facilities, which include two beach volleyball courts. Here, athletes can train and work on their game while enjoying the weather and sights of Trent's picturesque campus located on the banks of the Otonabee River. Varsity volleyball players also contribute greatly to the Trent experience providing excitement and enjoyment for student, faculty, and community fans throughout the competitive season.
