The Trent Excalibur Women's Lacrosse team wrapped up the regular season with three wins over two days at UOIT. Led by standout 3rd year Attacker Leah Michel's 13 goals and 5 assists over the three games, and another 8 goals and 5 assists from Mackenzie Robinson, the Excalibur finished the season strong with wins against McMaster (12-3), Brock (14-7), and Guelph (8-6). Including these three wins, the Excalibur finished with 8 wins and a draw in their final nine matches, which allows teh team to carry great momentum into the post season.


Next weekend, Trent University will play host to the 2018 OUA Lacrosse Championships, featuring a total of 15 games over three days, and the team in Green and White will be vying for Gold coming in as the second seed in the East. Head Coach Tori Wasson believes that the team can go all the way. "The girls are ready and excited to compete on home turf. It is our first time hosting and we will bring everything we have next weekend", Wasson stated.


The Excalibur and other nine teams in the OUA will faceoff for the Patterson Cup beginning Friday morning. The Excalibur play their first match of the weekend at 4:15pm EST at Justin Chiu Stadium, hosting the Guelph Gryphons.
