Trent Men's Lacrosse Takes First Helpings on Saturday

The Trent University Excalibur Men's Lacrosse team travelled to the nation's capital Saturday to round out their season series with the Carleton Ravens.

The Excalibur took the lead 2:01 in the first frame on a tally by hometown boy Nick Finlay and never looked back.

Trent steadily plucked away at their opponent and although sluggish at times playing in the rain cruised to a 17-3 win.

Austin Cairns and Liam Wynne shared the win in the cage.

"We came out going ham and weren't being turkeys going to the box. We had some good success stuffing the net as our goalies made some gravy saves. Just another slice adding to our whole pie." said Coach Farthing.

Leading the scoring for Trent was Jeff Fernandes with (3G 4A). Trent moves to 6-2 on season and will take on Bishops at Coulter Field Sunday at 1pm.
