The Trent Excalibur Men’s and Women’s volleyball teams will wrap up regular season play with two games this weekend. The Excalibur will travel to Steeltown on Saturday for a showdown with the McMaster Marauders before returning home on Sunday to face the Queen’s Gaels.

The Excalibur Women will play the first game each day, and will look to build off of a successful weekend where they recorded two decisive victories. In McMaster, the Excalibur will be facing the top ranked team from the West division, in the only meeting between these two teams. Trent’s first year setter Heidi Hayes has the hot hand, as she recorded 55 assists, and 23 digs over the weekend against Nipissing and York. On Sunday, the Excalibur will host Queen’s in a rematch of their January matchup. “Queen’s is a divisional matchup for us, they are big and physical, and we will need to be aggressive off the serve and attack to be successful.” Women’s Head Coach Craig Barlcay said. “We are looking to build off of last weekend’s wins, and see how things come together.”

On the Men’s side, the Excalibur will face two tough opponents over the weekend. McMaster enters Saturday’s contest as the top ranked team in the West, and the meeting represents the only time the two teams will see each other this season. On Sunday, the Excalibur will face the divisional rival Queen’s Gaels in a rematch from January. The Excalibur are looking to build off of last weekend two game home stand, as they prepare for the final games of the regular season.
